Within the UAE Ministry of Economy’s SME & Entrepreneurship Development Department, Jana has been leading partnership development and special projects designed to enhance the UAE’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. Prior to this, she led Expo 2020 Dubai’s USD 100 million global impact grant fund, designed to finance and scale impact ventures in 76 countries around the world. She serves as a continuous jury member for UNDP SDG Finance and UNICEF. Through her work at Dubai Holding, Dubai World, Western Region Development Council, and Expo 2020 Dubai, Jana has significantly influenced the cultivation of innovation, entrepreneurship, and the impact ecosystem in the UAE and the region. She holds an MBA, an MA in Social Sciences, and a BA in Communication. Jana is from the Slovak Republic and has lived and worked in the United Arab Emirates for the past 17+ years.
