Gus Schellekens has recently joined KPMG LG in Abu Dhabi as a Senior Advisor on sustainability and climate change. He has more than 30 years of work experience as an international Big Four management consultant. Previous positions have included Partner Leading the Climate Change & Sustainability Services team for EY in MENA; a similar position with PwC in MENA, COO for PwC’s global sustainability network, international tax and management consultant with Deloitte & Touche, and PwC in the UK and US. Gus has been working with clients in the MENA region since 2010, most recently as an independent senior advisor/consultant for Governments and Businesses helping with the design, development and delivery of large sustainability and business critical projects. Gus brings deep expertise across a range of sustainability topics, understanding both the issues and the opportunities. His core interest is in energy systems and renewables, and he specializes in strategy and systems thinking, and in the practical delivery of projects and results. His multi sector consulting background has given him proven program management, IT project management, business transformation and change management skills, and the ability to easily switch from a macro to a micro view as necessary.
