Arid Seeds LLC, founded in 2022, is at the forefront of establishing a non-GMO seed production industry in the UAE, a pivotal move towards enhancing the nation’s food security and agricultural independence. In collaboration with Mr. Aydin, Co-founder and CTO, and Prof. Dr. Soliman Omran, Co-founder and CSO, Arid Seeds is equipped with advanced in-house capabilities that set it apart in the region. Prof. Dr. Omran, a globally recognized expert in sustainable agriculture, brings decades of experience in developing non-GMO, drought-tolerant crop varieties specifically designed for arid climates. His expertise is crucial in guiding Arid Seeds’ mission to produce seeds locally, ensuring they are environmentally sustainable and genetically unmodified. Mr. Aydin’s digital twin platform, integrated as an in-house capability, allows for precise simulation and optimization of seed performance under various environmental conditions, further enhancing the quality and adaptability of the seeds. Recently showcased at COP28 by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MOIAT), Arid Seeds has received recognition for its pioneering efforts.
